Cookie Policy

Last updated: September 20, 2026.

Orbit uses the smallest possible amount of cookies and browser storage. We do not use advertising cookies, and we do not sell or share data with advertisers or ad networks.

Strictly necessary — sign-in session

When you sign in, your session is stored in your browser (cookie and local storage) so you stay logged in between visits. Saved sessions for the account switcher are encrypted with a non-extractable key and expire after 7 days. Without this storage you cannot sign in.

Strictly necessary — security

The Cloudflare Turnstile human check sets its own short-lived cookies to confirm you are not a bot on sign-up and sign-in. Our hosting platform may set a technical cookie (for example __dpl) to route your request to the correct deployment.

Preferences

Local storage remembers your theme, whether you have seen the latest update notice, moderation notices you acknowledged, and similar in-app choices. This data stays on your device.

No analytics or advertising

Orbit sets no advertising, profiling or cross-site tracking cookies, and does not build advertising profiles from your activity.

Managing cookies

You can clear cookies and site data at any time in your browser settings; this signs you out and resets your local preferences. Blocking strictly necessary cookies prevents signing in.
